INDIBA lists pregnancy, pacemakers or other implanted electronic devices, and thrombophlebitis as primary contraindications. Infection in the treatment area, anticoagulant medication and impaired sensation require additional precautions or medical advice. Disclose all health conditions, medications, implants and recent procedures before treatment.
INDIBA’s official FAQ says metallic prostheses, pins and plates are not in themselves contraindications at 448 kHz. However, you must disclose any implant before treatment. Electronic implants are different and are a contraindication.
Yes. INDIBA® can be used while breastfeeding. If treating near the breast, the area should be cleaned before feeding, and certain topical products may need to be avoided.
